Giant Wii

posted by Sunshine Events in Uncategorized

It seems this space would be a good place to give a little more insight into the nitty gritty of the equipment we have available at Sunshine Events. I mean, there’s the AtoZ list on www.sunshineevents.co.uk and on our Facebook, but lists aren’t always the most exciting way of finding out about stuff, so here, once every week or two , we’re going to give you a paragraph too.*

As we got that nice feedback on it last week, let’s start with our Giant Wii for the first focusgraph.**

——-

GIANT WII!
Aside from the obvious giggles that are brought to any day by the most comedically named games console of our time, and the adding of the prefix ‘Giant’ to it. Our Giant Wii, with accompanying games, dome and playing area, creates an unforgetable interactive experience that is genuinely, as the cliche goes, fun for all the family. Anyone who’s experienced the physical fun of using a Wii at home will tell you how it has tranported gaming away from its traditional domain of the solitary teenager and opened it up into light-hearted group experiences that generally end up in someone sat around wheezing with laughter. Wii Sports, WiiFit, GuitarHero/Rockband, or a whole host of other games are available to play, and with a our giant screen your Wii Person will be almost as big as your real person. You haven’t played tennis until you’ve done it by magically animating a life-sized cartoon version if yourself on a big screen like some kind of maniacal racket swinging puppet master. Whether you just want something to keep the kids amused or are looking for a genuine family and friend bonding experience then our Giant Wii is perfect for your event. It can be used outdoors or indoors and themed to suit the style of your event. It’s the perfect extra to almost any event you can think of. As I’ve used the word event in everyone of the last four sentences, if you include this one, I’m going to wrap it up here and just say, Giant Wii, yours if you want it, just ask.

——-

*Paragraphs are international recognised as the most stimulating of information delivery media, if you don’t count anything with pictures.

** A trendy new term for paragraphs that doesn’t really mean anything, like ‘pro-active’ was for ‘doing’.

“we had a great event last night, the children (and adults!!) loved the giant Wii.  Will defiantly be in touch if we have another similar event.”

Everybody loves a giant Wii.

———–

The sun came out yesterday near us, which was pretty exciting, and I thought there was no time like the present to take the Ice-Cream Bike out for a spin, make sure all the gears and cogs, chains and wheels, handles and erm, bars were in full sturdy working order ready for its days out throughout the summer, it being a popular little bike for a lot of our customers.

I wasn’t out racing around like an over sugared toddler or anything mind, no it’s built for optimum ice-treat delivery rather than optimum speed, and it only took me one, OK, two, forward flips to work that out. I’m a fast learner you see. It was also a bit gusty, and I was pretty keen to keep it to being an ice-cream bike rather than an ice-cream boat*

I did have a point, I think. Yes, the point is, I’ve given the Ice-Cream Bike a thorough testing, cleaning, and oiling this week and I can confirm that should you wish to hire it for your event it will be in top notch order and a joy to have, as will our Giant Wiis, which have just come back from another successful outing, and indeed all our other stock.

I’ve also been asked by our hard-working enquiry and booking handler to convey a complex message in a simple way, which is easy for her to say. So here goes…

We’ve already got loads of bookings for the summer and loads of our stuff is booked out at events happening all over the country every week and we’re already taking bookings for autumn, winter and, of course, Christmas but there’s always some equipment (and highly trained and pleasant staff) that can be made available at short notice so if you have an event next week you should still get in touch with us because the chances are we’ll still be able to help you with what you want but if you have an event a long way off it’s probably best to contact us now to make sure you don’t miss out on some things that will make your event excellent because somebody else has bagsied them first so basically you should get in touch with us now to talk about your event whether it is next week or next year.

And breathe.

In essence, if you have an event, big or small, near or far, now or next year, indoors or out, day or night, give us a call today and the chances are that we can help you to make it a great event.

The above paragraph was unnecessary really, I just wanted to see how much I could make you read without taking a breath.

Summertime Sunshine!

posted by Sunshine Events in Uncategorized

Well. Two weeks in a row of four day weekends and a three dayer on its way pretty soon. Bank Holidays, Fancy Weddings, and Glorious Sunshine might have spent a couple of weeks coming together to ruin Britian’s productivity, spawning a thousand end -of-month meetings where calculator bashers stand before ski-slope graphs of April and shrug their shoulders helplessly, but by golly it’s been fun.

Our Long Distance Claras and highly trained Fun Technicians (and trained First Aiders, oh yes) have been up and down the country frantically getting our instruments-of-fun to street parties, town fares, weddings, birthdays, school fetes, village celebrations, barbecues, and all those other things people like to get together for on weekends for and we’re having a whale of a time. We even managed to get the Mayor of Preston on a rodeo bull…

…great sport!

We’ve already got a stack of bookings for Sunshine Events equipment and services this summer, and our wonderful organisational guru deals valiantly and impressively with a landslide of enquiries every week, but if you’ve got an event coming up, no matter how near or far (in distance or time), we can still almost definitely help you make it something extra special. Feel free to give us a call / email / pop into the office anytime you like.

Oh, it’s definitely not too early to be thinking about Christmas either. Our new wooden Santa’s Grottos are expected to arrive this week, just give us a shout if you’d like a peek*

We’re on, erm, Facebook and Twitter too, they’re constantly updated and also fun, befriend/follow us immediately please. (Thanks.)

A New Addition to the Sunshine Team

posted by Sunshine Events in Uncategorized

We are proud to introduce the new member of our team…the Sunshine Bear! Sunshine Bear is our new walk about teddy costume which is ideal for corporate promotions, fun days and even birthday parties. Sporting his purple t-shirt Sunshine Bear is one of the team here at Sunshine Events however he is more than happy to change into your company colours to become your very own mascot for the occasion. Although he is currently relaxing in our office, (making the most of our new Xbox Kinect) Sunshine Bear is eager to get out and start earning his keep! So whether it’s amusing the children at a large event or drawing attention at a corporate promotion, the only question is; are you brave enough to dress up yourself or will you leave that to us?

Famous and Fearless

posted by Sunshine Events in Uncategorized

We received an exciting request, here at the Sunshine Events office, at the end of last year. Channel 4 phoned us in relation to their Famous and Fearless show which was held at the Liverpool Echo Arena in January.   The new show fronted by Chris Evans, featured celebrity participants competing in a series of extreme and urban sports. The eight participants included Dame Kelly Holmes, comedian Rufus Hound and soap stars Sarah Jayne Dunn (Hollyoaks) and Kasey Ainsworth (Eastenders).  The show requested a number of pieces of our equipment for use by Chris Evans and the participants during the week long filming. Obviously we were more than happy to oblige and provided a number of items such as table tennis and air hockey. We can just imagine Chris Evans taking on Dame Kelly in an air hockey contest backstage while Rufus Hound provides commentary for the other participants!
